RIVERSIDE OASIS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

From the moment we began talking, this client's appreciation for art and craftsmanship was immediately apparent, a passion that echoed throughout their home. Much like engineering, they believed that attention to detail is always worth the extra effort when creating something exceptional.

To thoughtfully craft a new living room that reflects these values, we began from the ground up. The room’s unique shape called for a custom wood application that would draw a clean, level line for the eye to follow, providing visual grounding amid the many architectural angles. We then inset a patterned carpet that not only defined the seating area but also established the color palette for the space.

At the heart of the room sits a signature piece: a skirted, curved-back sofa flanked by geometric end tables. To create harmony and to counterbalance the room’s strong line, we repeated soft curves throughout the space in the coffee table, bench, swivel chairs, accent chair, and side table. Each piece was carefully chosen to balance form and function, blending comfort with sculptural presence.

The pièce de résistance is the artistic light fixture—an organic statement made of hand-forged iron and handblown glass. Like the dynamic couple who live here, and the friends, children, and grandchildren who will gather in this room, every element in the space brings its own distinct personality. Yet together, they converse beautifully, creating a space that is warm, elevated, and deeply personal.
