PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our team collaborated closely with this wonderful family to create a seamless and inviting addition to their home, perfectly tailored to their desire for more space to gather and connect. This living room addition is perfectly framed with a custom rustic wooden beam that looks as though it has always been there. This sun-drenched space, featuring windows on all sides, was intentionally designed to maximize the enjoyment of their beautiful property. Every element, from the cozy real wood-burning fireplace with its practical custom log cubbies and stone hearth, to the comfortable built-in benches with hidden storage for family games and blankets, was thoughtfully selected to foster warmth and togetherness. The striking wood tray ceiling with contrasting beams and a discreet ceiling fan ensures year-round comfort, while the custom motorized shades offer effortless control over natural light, enhancing the ambiance throughout the day.

Beyond the living room addition, we transformed the home’s existing cramped foyer, living room, and dining room into a welcoming entry with a more functional transition into the now spacious dining area. A custom paneled wall with an integrated display ledge provides a personal touch, perfect for showcasing cherished family photos. The addition of custom drapery panels and patterned shades to the entry windows introduces color and depth, artfully connecting the interior design with the picturesque outdoor views. Ultimately, this project was about more than just adding square footage; it was about creating intentional spaces where this family can comfortably dine, easily welcome guests, be fully present with one another, and create lasting memories in a home that truly reflects their lifestyle.
